Kingston Council does not have to proceed with the 3.99% increase in Council Tax and will instead increase Council Tax by the 2% “social care precept”, as most local authorities are, to cover the increasing demand for and cost of adult social care.

Last December the council introduced 30 Minutes Free Parking to roads in different areas of the borough. Surbitonbenefitted heavily, with 30 Minutes Free Parking signs appearing on more roads there than anywhere else.
The Conservatives have delivered on their pledge for 30 minutes free parking on roads across the borough. On Small Business Saturday, 5 December 2015, we made roads across the borough free to park on for 30 minutes.
