Syed Kamall fights for Kingston and Surbiton in Europe

Wednesday, 17 October, 2012

by Syed Kamall, Conservative MEP for London.

I joined the Conservative Party because I wanted to live in a society where ambition and hard work were rewarded. There are many parents in Kingston who want their children to have more opportunities to succeed - and the Conservative Party is on their side. This Government has made it possible for ambitious parents to form their own "free schools" with public money. We are making it easier to own and extend your home.  And we want people who are in work to keep more of what they earn. It doesn't matter where you come from, but if you work hard and believe in yourself there is no limit to what you can achieve. Labour advocates policies which would keep the people in their place, stuck on welfare. It is the Conservatives who are the party of aspiration and ambition.
